The Hearth at Gardenside, located in North Haven, Connecticut, provides residents with impeccable care and charming living situations. The facility provides 24/7 nursing care and on-site Yale Geriatric Services to ensure complete assistance and safety for its residents. The on-site nursing care is designed to decrease residents’ hospitalization and keep them in a convenient, comforting environment.
The Hearth at Gardenside offers numerous recreational amenities, making residents’ experiences all the more enjoyable. Services include a beauty salon, barber shop, library, exercise and health wellness classes, worship services, and holiday celebrations. In addition, the Hearth at Gardenside has an Activities Director on board to ensure endless recreation opportunities for the residents. With three healthy and delicious meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry and linen services, the Hearth at Gardenside lessens the everyday burdens that may loom over aging seniors. The facility contains 129 rooms for its residents, and currently houses more than 100. The Hearth at Gardenside also offers a remarkable Memory Care program, intended to enhance the quality of life of memory care residents and keep them mentally and physically active.
Socialization is strongly promoted at the Hearth, and residents are given multiple opportunities to get involved and meet others. For instance, a young woman went to the Hearth at Gardenside, seeking a “home” for a loved one where she felt safe. This particular person was ultimately able to connect with other residents and develop meaningful relationships.
